I am now 3 months into my recovery after my thyroid surgery. It has been a long 3 months with lots of visits to the doctor's office, my chiropractor, functional medicine doctor and getting blood tests. I have had time to rest and heal. I am so thankful for that. Here is the thing. If this had happened to me when I was younger, I don't think I would have taken the time I needed to really heal which would mean this blog would have a very different message.
Even at the 3 month mark, I take naps when I need them and each day I thank God that I am in the time of my life when I can do that. If you are going through this and can't take as much time off as you need, please do take it slow.
I am so grateful for God's continued healing. I mentioned in an earlier blog that taking time to read my Bible, a devotional and pray each morning was what got me through this. I highly recommend you find time to do that as well. It so helps to center you and cope with what you are dealing with each day.
I also encourage you to share with others so they can pray for you. I had so many people praying for me and I could literally feel their prayers. I may not be 100% healed but I am so far along at this point. Thank you God for your healing mercies!
If you are going through the same thing, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via one of these blogs or at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to give you any kind of support I can. God bless!
