Grow Your Faith

March 29, 2017

As a Christian woman, you have accepted what Jesus did for you on the cross. You are forgiven. You are free from sin and its eternal guilt and shame. So, why don’t we live like we are forgiven and like we are free? Why do we feel broken and unworthy?

From my own experiences and the experiences of my clients, I can tell you it comes from listening to the wrong person and wrong things about who you are. The enemy will constantly tell you to be ashamed of what you do or have done. Satan will use those lies to keep you from living free and forgiven. As a Christian Business Woman, it is important that you first understand that your business belongs to God. God is the CEO and you are working for Him.

Dear Christian Business Woman, it is impossible to grow your business the right way without first acknowledging God and how He created you for this very purpose. It is vital to the growth of your business to focus on the truths in His Word every day. It is crucial that you be in direct contact with God every day and multiple times a day so the Holy Spirit can guide you in your decisions and lead you to the right clients.

Here are some ways you can grow your faith as you grow your business.

  1. Spend time with God every day. Schedule time on your calendar for reading the Bible and prayer. God’s Word and prayer are our best defenses against the enemy.

  2. Be in community with like-minded Christian Business Women. God did not create us to be alone. He doesn’t expect us to have all the answers to all our business questions. Find a place where you will be supported, encouraged and motivated to grow in your faith as you grow your business.

  3. Sharpen your mind by reading relevant books on growing your faith. I can highly recommend “ Working Women of the Bible” by Susan DiMickele “Audacious” by Beth Moore, “The Best Yes” by Lysa TerKeurst; “My Utmost for His Highest” by Oswald Chambers; “Courageous Leadership” by Bill Hybels; “The Battle Plan for Prayer” by Stephen Kendrick, Alex Kendrick; “Cling” by Kim Cash Tate. There are so many more so find the one that resonates with you and read on.

  4. Meditate and Memorize scripture. There is nothing better for growing your faith than meditating and memorizing scripture. These are God’s words to you. I find it easier to meditate and memorize scripture when I have them written on post cards or on my white board where I can see them every day.

  5. Ask God to help you surrender to His complete will for your life and your business. Surrender is not easy. It takes real commitment to battle our own self-centered nature. It takes a daily walk and surrender of your heart, mind and soul.

God is so good and He wants nothing but the best for you and your business. Taking time from your busy schedule each day, will prepare you for what is ahead and help you grow your faith in Him.
