Why do you listen to everyone else when it comes to how you view yourself? You will listen to your friends, family and even yourself. And most of the time what you say about yourself is not true.
So, why won’t you listen to what God says about you? God is the one who created you. God doesn’t create mistakes. You are a one-of-a-kind original. No one has the same fingerprints as you. No one has the same message as you. Listen to what the Bible says about you so you can be confident & content in who you are in Him.
You are created in God’s image. This means you are made in God’s likeness. This means you have some of the same attributes that God has. God is Spirit and you are mind, body & spirit. God loves and you have the ability to love. God is merciful and you can choose to be merciful. Since you are made in God's image you are able to have compassion, mercy, grace, fellowship, friendship, etc. However, none of us has all the attributes that God has. God is Omniscient. He knows everything, we do not. God is Omnipresent. He is present at all times in all places, we are not.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
Psalms 139:14-15 (MSG)
“Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.” God has a plan just for you. You have special talents and gifts that no one else has. You are the only one who can deliver your message to the world. God loves you so much that He planned out your life before you ever lived a day. He has a plan to take care of you and to give you hope. God wants you to be confident & content in His plan for you.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Ask God to protect your mind. The enemy wants to keep you defeated and away from what God says about you. Daily, practice listening and believing what God says about you. Daily, say nice things to yourself based on what God says about you. Daily, ask God to help you see yourself as He sees you. Learn to be confident & content in who you are in Him!
