First let me thank you for being a part of my world. I love fashion and have since I was a little girl. I’m sure that saying “born to shop” is all about me. But I do realize that many of you don’t like to shop so I want to offer some of my own experiences in shopping in hopes it will help you feel more comfortable. And for those who just do NOT want to shop, that is what I am here for…to do it for you.
I was at the mall yesterday picking out clothes to use for the video we are creating this weekend about dressing for your personal style. But wait, more about that in a minute. Now, if you don’t like shopping for yourself just imagine me shopping for 5 different types in the same afternoon. The first stop was at Macy’s where I realized how overwhelming it is to have so much merchandise to look through. So here is what I did to make it easier. Instead of looking through racks of clothes I thought about what kind of clothes I was shopping for and then thought about what store or department would work best.
I started at Jones New York where I found just the right thing for the classic woman. From there I happened to walk past the department that carried Kensie and found a great jacket for the dramatic woman. Then off to the INC department where I found something that worked well for my romantic girl (their designs featured ruffles this year which works well for this woman). Ralph Lauren is a great choice for my sport girl but I wanted to feature something that was less expensive so I went to Coldwater Creek and found some great casual, comfortable clothes for that style. Since I am an alluring style, I knew just where to go to find the perfect thing…Cache.
Just like business, it takes some strategic thinking to make your shopping experiences a little easier. Besides that leaves you enough time to stop and have a coffee or soda and do some people watching. That is one of the best places I know to do that!
